LE RESTAURANT at the Strasbourg Holiday Inn Hotel at 20, place de Bordeaux, has just undergone a profound change.

 

The decor is resolutely contemporary and combines red tones and dark wenge wood colours with a basic glass wall separating the lobby from the restaurant. The customer is instantly immersed in a dynamic, bright and friendly atmosphere. With its exhibition of paintings and sculptures from local artists it is also a "must" for art and originality lovers.

From the kitchens the customer can choose from an impressive array of dishes prepared using fresh seasonal produce. Alain Mainier, the head chef, insists on the authenticity and the quality of the produce he uses, for example with the succulent Aubrac steak, the Charolais tartar knife cut and prepared at your table, not to mention the back of Scottish salmon grilled on one side only, or the selection of pasta and risottos.

The menu also proposes a variety of simmered dishes to satisfy all tastes. Light cooking highlights the quality of the basic produce. The menu mixes country savours with typically Alsatian dishes and international cuisine, which is important for homesick customers.

For businessmen and women who are always in a hurry, our chefs have reworked the salads and sandwiches. Our cheeseburger, our club sandwich and our Caesar's salad with its parmesan bread fingers in particular are very popular.
