menus suited to the needs of sport groups

The 421 rule is applied at all our hotels that receive sports groups.

Specific menus have been elaborated by our dietetician to suit the needs of the different types of sports.

According to the sport activity concerned and the number of hours training required, a special menu will be proposed.

The 421 rule is defined as follows for each meal :

4 supplies of Carbohydrates:

  • 1 portion of vegetables
  • 1 portion of raw vegetables or fruits
  • 1 portion of cereal products: bread, rice, pasta…
  • 1 portion of sugar: jam, honey, chocolate

2 supplies of Proteins:

  • 1 portion of meat, fish or eggs
  • 1 portion of of dairy products

1 supply of Lipids:

  • 1 portion of fatty substances: oil, butter, margarine or cream

A word from our specialist consultant dietician

It is important to have a meal that is rich in carbohydrates of an average sugar content (rice, potatoes, dried pulses), and also to avoid fat, 2 or 3 hours  before engaging in major effort.
